Marketing Plan Basics Workbook

Eighty percent of the businesses we have come in contact with recently do not have a marketing plan and are unable to clearly differentiate their business or their products and services.  We have also noticed that businesses are failing to alter their marketing plan and their message to address changing consumer behaviours.

It is those 20% of businesses who are taking care to formulate their marketing plan and to adjust their messaging to address the current changes in their customer's buying behaviours who will succeed while others get left behind.  When consumer confidence is down, consumers take more time to evaluate their purchase decisions and want to feel secure in the knowledge that they are making the right choice.

Do you understand your customers' current needs/desires? How do they know you understand their needs/desires? What are you saying that has them trust that you are the solution?  This is always important in your marketing.  It is especially important now.

All it takes is a little communication.  This implies listening, as well.  What are your customers experiencing?  What do they want more of right now?  Less of?  What is influencing their spending decisions?

In response to this realization, we are re-releasing a workbook that was created for start-ups and are making it available on our website as a download.
