Is Proctor & Gamble chasing the Right Goal?

The Globe & Mail reports that four billion of the world's consumers use Proctor & Gamble products (September 11, 2009), that's two thirds of the world's population. P&G's net earnings in fiscal 2009 were over $13 billion.



Yet the company is unsatisfied with its flat growth over the past year and vows to capture an additional billion customers by 2015.

Is this a goal to be admired?
